The report from our most recent Ofsted inspection on 15-16 December is available below. Inspectors concluded that St Paul’s Primary School ‘Requires Improvement’ and many of the comments in the report were already part of the School Development Plan.

We were pleased that there were many aspects of the report that were good and positive, including:

• The personal development, behaviour and welfare of pupils is good.
• Pupils’ social and emotional development is extremely well catered for.
• Almost all of the parents who responded to Parent View said that they would recommend the school to another parent.
• Many pupils achieve good standards in mathematics by the end of Year 6.
• The school provides opportunities for pupils to learn across a range of subjects including particularly music, PE and computing.

Areas where we are working to develop include:

• Improved monitoring of provision especially for disadvantaged pupils.
• Ensuring that all children, particularly the more able, are stretched appropriately.
• Ensuring that the standard of work produced by all children is the best it can be.

If you have any questions about the report, please do feel free to ask.

Our Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools inspection was in September 2012. They wrote: "Christian values taught through collective worship are at the heart of the school's community life. The school's close link with the church is recognized by pupils and parents as a distinctive feature of the school."
We are very pleased with the report which we feel is an accurate reflection of the school’s achievement and development. The report identifies the strengths of the school as well as areas where the school can improve in the near future.
