Dear parents and carers,
Having met with the staff earlier today, I am delighted to inform you that the headteacher selection process that has been going on this week has been successful. We have made a conditional offer to our preferred candidate, Jo Chrich, and she has verbally accepted.
Mrs Chrich is currently Deputy Head Teacher at Cherry Hinton Primary School and before that was an Assistant Head Teacher in the Trumpington Federation. Mrs Chrich is passionate about creating a learning environment and is herself currently studying for the National Professional Qualification for Headship through Anglia Ruskin University. Mrs Chrich stated in her application “I believe that St Paul’s has enormous potential, to develop outstanding young people who achieve the highest academic standards and who also grow both spiritually and emotionally in order to find their own distinctive vocation in the world.”
In addition to covering all aspects of our selection criteria, Mrs Chrich exceeded our expectations in many ways and we strongly believe she is the right person to lead our school. The selection panel, staff, governors and PTFA members who were involved in the selection process all recognised that Mrs Chrich has a clear strategic, analytical, creative and child centred focus.
The governing body are genuinely excited by what Mrs Chrich will bring to the school, the staff and the children when she joins us in September 2017. Until then, please join me in fully supporting Mr Jordan as he leads the school for the next 5 months. I would like to thank all of you who supported the recruitment process in so many ways.
Best wishes on behalf of the Governing Body
